Commissions

In addition to work produced for sale through shops & galleries, and at Craft Fairs and Markets, I undertake commissions.

The capacities of my lathe are 1200 mm between centres

(i.e. I can turn things like newel posts up to that size),

and up to 520 mm swing over the bed, and even larger 'outboard'

(i.e. I can turn a pretty big platter or even a small table-top.)

Past commissions include:-

  • Door knobs for a manufacturer of bespoke kitchens.
  • Finials for antique clock repairs.
  • Trophies of various types, including platters for the New Forest Business Partnership 'Brilliance in Business' Awards.
  • Architectural gable-end finials for restoration of an old cottage.
  • Handles for rolls of industrial cling film.
  • 25 balusters to replace broken ones in a four-storey house (see picture).
